EZ Release Weekly - October 9, 2026

Self-hosted deployments could hang on save and die at the timeout with no error. Fixed in v5.5.6, plus an autoscaling fix and a batch of agent reliability work.

This week in env zero (Oct 5–9, 2026):

Self-hosted agent v5.5.6

Saving the working directory no longer hangs on hardlinked files. It now logs compression progress and fails fast when it stalls, instead of running to the job timeout.
Queue-state endpoint returns pendingAndRunningCount alongside pendingCount, so queue-based autoscaling can count in-flight tasks.
Provider downloads retry on timeout or dropped connection.
Agent gateway retries now back off instead of firing back to back.
Drift fix pull requests are counted as opened even when creation was retried.
Cloud-to-code no longer opens drift fixes for drift caused by state changes or version updates outside deployments.
