We’re happy to announce the release of Logz.io Reports — an easy way to set up scheduled reporting for both operational and security use cases. Kibana dashboards provide you with a window into your environment, visualizing the different signals being tracked in a beautiful mix of graphs, charts, and maps. Often used in times of crisis and as the starting point for an investigation, dashboards can also be useful as a static reporting tool for multiple use cases.

Today I wanted to write about something that’s been on my mind for the last few months. Elasticsearch Aggregations provide you with the ability to group and perform calculations and statistics (such as sums and averages) on your data by using a simple search query. An aggregation can be viewed as a working unit that builds analytical information across a set of documents. Using aggregations, you can extract the data you want by running the GET method in Kibana UI’s Dev Tools. You can also use CURL or APIs in your code.
