KubeCon + CloudNativeCon is the premier event that focuses on cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes. This year’s European edition took place in person and was completely sold out, with 10,000 attendees. Datadog joined the event as a platinum sponsor, and several of our engineers delivered talks on various topics, ranging from etcd to image signing and verification. In this post, we’ll share more details on these talks, along with our takeaways from the event.
We’ve just recently completed KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe 2023 in Amsterdam, one of the signature events of the year in the cloud native, open source and observability spaces. I was thrilled to be joined by Taylor Dolezal, the Head of Ecosystem for the hosting Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) to discuss the insider happenings of KubeCon EU live from Amsterdam for the April 2023 OpenObservability Talks podcast.
KubeCon Amsterdam was an incredible gathering of like-minded professionals, bringing together devops, software engineers, vendors, and cloud technology enthusiasts from around the world. This year’s event was the biggest KubeCon + CloudNativeCon ever, with a sold-out attendee list of 10,000 strong. The sheer scale of the event was a testament to the growing popularity of cloud native technology and the vibrant community that supports it.
KubeCon Europe 2023 will be held in Amsterdam in April, with many exciting updates and discussions to come around projects from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). That’s why I was thrilled to host Chris Aniszczyk, the CTO of the CNCF on the March 2023 episode of OpenObservability Talks. We had a wide-ranging, free-flowing conversation that touched on all things cloud native, observability and the future of our space.
A Recap of SRECon 2023 Americas by guest author Sebastian Vietz.
Last week, over five hundred SREs gathered in Santa Clara to share the latest research, tips, tricks, best practices, and more for site reliability engineering. They were joined by some of the biggest names in the reliability space. And, yes, Gremlin was there to answer any and all questions about chaos engineering and proactive reliability. After three days of great conversations and insightful talk, let’s take a look at some of the themes we heard weaving through SRECon.
HAProxy Technologies attended Kubernetes Community Days France 2023, where 800 participants gathered to discuss cloud-native and DevOps technologies. It’s always a delight to interact with the heart of the industry and hear how professionals and hobbyists are implementing HAProxy as an ingress controller, load balancer, API gateway, and security solution. If we summarized KCD France 2023 in one word, it would be “community.”
When a tech community comes together, great things happen and Serverless Days ANZ 2023 was no exception. As soon as you checked-in, you could feel the community spirit, buzz and excitement that comes with an event like this. It’s been four years since the last Serverless Days ANZ was able to run IRL (In real life), and the local serverless community had been eagerly waiting for its return.
