A couple of weeks ago, TIgera engineers released the new version of Calico, as part of a community effort to drive cloud security and networking even further. But before I begin diving into the details of this new release, I want to first spotlight a few of our community members who have merged their contributions to Calico Open Source for the first time.

We are excited to announce the new CircleCI Config SDK is now available as an open-source TypeScript library. Developers can now write and manage their CircleCI config.yml files using TypeScript and JavaScript. For developers used to the ecosystem and flexibility of a full-fledged programming language, sometimes YAML can feel limiting or intimidating. With the Config SDK you can define and generate your YAML config from type-safe and annotated JavaScript.

Toward that end, the DX Unified Infrastructure Management (DX UIM) team releases cumulative updates every calendar quarter. In addition to quality fixes, these cumulative updates include performance improvements, feature enhancements, and expanded platform support. Recently DX UIM 20.4, cumulative update 4, was released for both Operator Console and Server Core packs.
