Zebra Technologies Developer Conference to Showcase Advances in AI, Mobility and UX

BOURNE END, England – Aug. 18, 2023 - Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a leading digital solution provider enabling businesses to intelligently connect data, assets, and people, will highlight the power of artificial intelligence (AI), connectivity, mobility, and user experience (UX) at the edge of business to shape the future of work at its DevCon Global Developer Conference.

From Sept. 13 - 15 in Madrid, Spain, a line-up of senior technology leaders, developers, researchers and engineers from Zebra Technologies, Google, Qualcomm, Deepsense.ai, antuit.ai, and Humans in the Loop will participate in keynote presentations, panel discussions and workshops built around these themes to attendees from the global developer community.

Talks and workshops will cover a number of trending AI developer topics, ranging from how to build enterprise augmented reality spatial computing applications to learning how to design image processing algorithms based on deep learning technology. 

Douglas Vaz Benitez, Senior Director, Business Development and Managing Director of Spain and Portugal, Qualcomm will talk about the hardware needed for neural computation, while leaders from antuit.ai (a Zebra Technologies company) will present on assisted decision-making using a low/no code demand modelling studio leveraging machine learning, data science and domain expertise.

Rounding out the AI focus will be a keynote presentation by Tomasz Kulakowski, Founder and CEO, Deepsense.ai, who'll talk about large language models, their current and future impact and what they mean for the developer world. The opportunity to 'do well by doing good' will be covered in a breakout session with Tess Valbuena, Chief Operating Officer, Humans in the Loop, who will share the company's vision of connecting conflict-affected communities to digital work by providing ethical image annotation to power AI and computer vision solutions.

Google's Android Enterprise Advocate, Pietro Maggi with Antonio Alonso Daroca, Android Enterprise Business Development Manager, EMEA will deliver a far-reaching keynote on the intersection between mobile and digital transformation. Their presentation will cover the integral role mobililty can play in digital transformation, a look toward Android 14, secure cross-profile data sharing, Android device management application programming interfaces (APIs), mobile to desktop convergence and telephony enhancements.

The event's connectivity, mobility and UX focus will also include workshops on leveraging IoT to enable seamless data capture and device management, advanced asset tracking with digitally enabled smart sensors and data loggers, developments in mobile payments and reading mobile wallets, an introduction to rapidly deploying robotics use-cases through the latest APIs, and a presentation on creating an optimised, seamless UX across devices on Android, iOS, and web. The conference will close with a keynote on UX by James Morley-Smith, Global Director of User Experience, Zebra Technologies.
