Silect and OpsLogix extends partnership in North America

Last year, we announced that OpsLogix partnered up with the Canadian company Silect, a Microsoft GOLD Partner specializing in Microsoft's System Center; read more here. We are extending this Partnership with Silect that has a strong presence on the North American market, with an additional product - our Oracle Management Pack. This means that Silect will exclusively provide customers in Canada and the US with the OpsLogix Oracle MP.

Oracle Management Pack Update Release (21.9.2568.0)

We’re happy to announce a new update release of our Oracle Management Pack for SCOM. The 21.9.2568.0 release contains new features, fixes, and changes. On top of this, we have also released a new datasheet and a white paper that you can find more information about further down in this article.

VMware Management Pack Update Release (20.11.2156.0)

Our first release for 2021 of the OpsLogix VMware Management Pack for Operations Manager is now released. This version includes mostly fixes to issues reported since the previous release but also a new PowerShell function to manage your licenses. And once again, we fully support the new version of VMware vSphere 7 and vSAN.

Free NetLogon Secure Channel Compliance MP

The Netlogon Remote Protocol (also called MS-NRPC) is an RPC interface that is used exclusively by domain-joined devices. MS-NRPC includes authentication procedures and a method of establishing a Netlogon secure channel. An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in MS-NRPC that makes it possible for an attacker to establish a vulnerable Netlogon secure channel connection to a domain controller.

Our fourth update release for 2020 of OpsLogix VMware Management Pack for Operations Manager is now released. Improvements includes existing features such as Host Ram Disk monitoring and Discovery of Tagging information for Hosts and Virtual machines. Important: In our previous release we also simplified the configuration and licensing experience and moved everything under the administration pane.

The third update release for 2020 of our VMware Management Pack for Operations Manager is now released. Improvements include better performance, extended discoveries of properties, and vSAN monitoring. We also simplified the configuration and licensing experience and moved everything under the administration pane. This will require you to remove the old Licensing UI Management Packs before upgrading.

Future proof your VMware monitoring in SCOM

VMware vSphere 7, the new generation of vSphere was released in April 2020. This major new release brings a massive improvement in the work experience of vSphere administrators. If you work with VMware you probably noticed many exciting new features released in vSphere 7. ​ Many of them are a bit out-of-scope for this blog post as we will primarily focus on monitoring. New free community MP: Alert Storm Management Pack

In some scenarios, you might want to have the possibility to get notified if all of a sudden, a large volume of alerts get raised inside Operations Manager. It could be that a large amount of alerts gets raised with low severity that usually isn't a problem on an individual occurrence. Maybe a VMware datastore latency alert is configured as a warning because they might fire off during backup windows. But what if all of the datastores all of a sudden indicates there is a latency issue and raises an alert.
