But where is ITAM heading in 2023 and beyond? To help understand its evolution, we asked six ITAM and ITSM industry authorities for their opinions on the ITAM trends to keep in mind for 2023.

Thanks to the general evolution of technology-enabled businesses and the digital transformation acceleration caused by the global pandemic, the suitability of your organization’s current ITSM capabilities needs to be questioned – especially in light of the ten ITSM trends we’re about to share. We consulted ten IT leaders to reflect on the road ahead.

Asset location tracking is an essential part of IT Asset Management since it allows organizations to track their IT assets’ location. Thanks to the digital workplace, organizations are used to having part of their staff in remote places or even traveling for different reasons. And as a consequence, these employees usually have IT assets filled with company information (often times confidential) that travel with them across the globe.

Asset Health Management (AHM) helps organizations to proactively monitor and manage the condition of physical assets, in order to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan. This is a relevant part of IT Asset Management, and they typically go hand in hand to ensure that all assets are properly managed.

Digital Employee Experience (DEX) is grossly understated in today’s corporate landscape, despite the growing interest in digital transformation in companies everywhere. Technology has long been central to the workplace, but not enough effort has been put into the experience of those who use it. Enterprises, especially global enterprises, can spend upward of tens of thousands of dollars on software and digital appliances to make work easier for their team.

As the years zip by at increasingly whiplash-inducing speeds, I feel a strange mix of emotions. On one hand, yes, it is indeed a little startling that 2022 has come and gone so quickly. But as I look back on the passing year, I am also amazed at the number of things that occurred, the challenges we faced, the goals we accomplished, and the many things we’ve learned. All in all, 2022 was a fantastic year for InvGate. Our community of users, developers, and employees is bigger and better than ever.

Even though IT asset monitoring alerts are a great tool to keep your company’s assets safe, they can sometimes become your worst nightmare. Raise your hand if you never configured them poorly and ended up with tons of irrelevant notifications. Due to their very nature of keeping you in the loop of changes, they can provoke the exact opposite effect since you’ll end up ignoring them. However, they are useful – at least in theory.
