A few weeks ago, members of Mezmo were at Kubecon and attended several sessions. You can see a post with my recap and session highlights. Today, though, I’m going to discuss three sessions that my colleagues found interesting for our peers in Observability.

There was a lot going on at November’s Gartner Infrastructure, Operations and Cloud Strategies Conference, but the central theme was inevitably the transformational impact of the AI revolution. IOCS is a major event bringing together leading vendors and thousands of practitioners for a mix of vendor-led sessions, expert presentations, keynotes, roundtables and one-to-one consultations.

From developers and tech leaders to start-ups and students, over 60,000 attendees from around the world gathered in Las Vegas for the 13th AWS re:Invent. This year’s event showcased continuing innovation from AWS, offered an abundance of content for every type of attendee, plus a sprawling Expo Hall hosting hundreds of AWS partners and industry vendors.

From simplifying AI integration and automation to network virtualization and cybersecurity, re:Invent 2024 left us with plenty to think about going into 2025. AWS re:Invent 2024 was a whirlwind. TechRadar reported an estimated 60,000 in-person attendees, and with over 2,000 learning sessions there was no shortage of opportunities to collaborate. Our Megaport booth was buzzing, and we loved connecting with you.

As we kick off the AWS re:Invent 2024 conference, we’re thrilled to introduce two major developer observability and live debugging advancements that bring even greater power and flexibility to developers and engineering teams everywhere. These new product capabilities — the Lightrun Visual Studio Extension and Lightrun Dynamic Traces — are designed to elevate customers’ observability workflows and streamline their development processes directly within their IDE.

Last week, Lisbon was jam-packed with innovation as Web Summit 2024 saw over 70,000 attendees and 3,000 companies at one of the largest tech conferences in the world. Across the exhibition floor and track presentations, a clear theme emerged: while AI offers numerous benefits, its large-scale impact on data processing raises concerns among many parties, from consumers, legislators, and government bodies.

Though KubeCon North America 2024 has officially come to a close, the CNCF's flagship event has left us buzzing with residual excitement. After all, waving goodbye to a crowd of 9,200+ attendees is never easy—especially with Salt Lake City's snow-capped mountains towering impressively in the background. However, it was our conversations with HAProxy booth visitors that truly stole the show.

SQL Konferenz 2024, an event that regularly connects database professionals, SQL enthusiasts, and data architects from the DACH region, took place this October in Hanau, Germany, hosting numerous attendees as well as expert speakers ready to share valuable insights and discuss the latest trends and innovations in the industry.
