The energy at Cisco Live EMEA in Amsterdam (February 9-13, 2026) was primarily driven by groundbreaking AI announcements, & the event provided Fabrix.ai an opportunity to strengthen our strategic position alongside Cisco and Splunk ecosystems. The event’s focus on AI, highlighted by the recent Cisco AI Summit, emphasizes a clear market direction in which Fabrix.ai is perfectly poised to accelerate innovation.

Last week, members of the VictoriaMetrics team, including myself, spoke at three very different but equally important community events: FOSDEM in Brussels, Cloud Native Days France in Paris, and CfgMgmtCamp in Ghent. Each event drew a different crowd with its own expectations, making them a good way to see where open source observability stands today and how VictoriaMetrics is adapting to real-world needs. The talks we gave were snapshots of the problems we are actively working on.

The dust has settled on Las Vegas. We saw transparent TVs, cars that drive sideways, and enough “AI-powered” toothbrushes to confuse a dentist. CES is incredible at selling the dream of hardware. The demos are slick, the lighting is perfect, and everything works on the showroom floor. But as engineers, we know the dirty secret of CES: The hardware is the easy part.

This year’s Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations and Cloud Strategies Conference made one thing abundantly clear: the industry is moving beyond reactive monitoring and isolated dashboards toward autonomous, outcome-driven IT operations. While AI and agentic automation dominated keynotes and vendor messaging, conversations on the show floor reflected a more grounded reality.

KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2025 in Atlanta marked a definitive moment for cloud-native infrastructure. Over four days, celebrating the 10th anniversary of both CNCF and Kubernetes, more than 9,000 attendees witnessed the ecosystem’s evolution from container orchestration to AI-native operations. The conference delivered a clear message – AI workloads are no longer experimental.

This year’s AWS re:Invent was a blur of GPUs, LLMs, and infrastructure roadmap reveals — but for those listening between the keynotes, another story was unfolding. Between hallway chats, booth conversations, and live polls, a signal emerged from the noise: FinOps is growing up. Mature cloud teams aren’t just managing costs — they’re asking smarter, more strategic questions about value, forecasting, and engineering accountability.

The timing couldn’t have been better. Last week, the tech world descended on Las Vegas for AWS re:Invent. It was the perfect venue to talk about cloud infrastructure, scale, and the future of application delivery. While we enjoyed talking shop at our booth, we didn't just bring swag and demos; we brought a significant performance improvement for our open-source community.
