We’re back with another episode of Ivanti Insights where I spoke with Chris Goettl, VP of Product Management. This week we talked about some of the news making the biggest headlines in cybersecurity. Topics included the recent critical flaw found in Apple devices, how hackers are using remote code execution to mine for cryptocurrency, and how the SolarWinds hackers may be making a comeback.

Anyone familiar with the cloud understands there are a lot of misconceptions about how it works. For example, businesses often assume that operating in the cloud will be inherently less expensive than managing an on-premise application. But this is not always the case. In fact, your monthly cloud bill could be the same or more expensive than your on-premise costs.

On the way to perfecting its services, Pandora FMS launches one of the most advanced and complete solutions in its history as monitoring software: Monitoring as a Service (MaaS). As we all know by now, Pandora FMS is a software for network monitoring that, among many other possibilities, allows visually monitoring the status and performance of several parameters from different operating systems (servers, applications, hardware systems, firewalls, proxies, databases, web servers, routers…).

Holiday retail sales are likely to increase between 7% and 9% in 2021, according to Deloitte’s annual holiday retail forecast with holiday sales totaling $1.28 to $1.3 trillion during the November to January timeframe. Deloitte also forecasts that e-commerce sales will grow by 11-15%, year-over-year, during the 2021-2022 holiday season.

The patient-centered care (PCC) model enhances the way providers interact with patients during the care delivery process. Clinicians that show compassion and empathy toward patients are more likely to achieve meaningful, positive doctor-patient relationships. Indeed, care teams that prioritize PCC have a proven approach to improving patient satisfaction and increasing patient retention.

Not to muddy the waters with one more prefix in front of ops, GitOps is a newer DevOps paradigm that slants towards the developer. As the names states, GitOps is focused around Git, the source code management tool. As a developer, leveraging an SCM is one of the quintessential tools of the trade; allowing for collaboration and more importantly saving your hard work off of your machine.

“It’s not rocket science.” In the past, we’ve all heard that statement made. Quite often, it’s applicable. It’s true we can overthink or unnecessarily overcomplicate matters. Don’t tell that to someone who’s responsible for network performance and continuity today, however.

For the next interview in our series speaking to technology and IT leaders around the world, we’ve welcomed experienced CISCO Victor Kritakis, of Epignosis.
