How we improved our React Native cold start for Android

About two years ago here at Mattermost, we decided to start building a prototype for our mobile apps in React Native (RN for short). StatusCake App released for iOS and Android Devices

You can now install our very own StatusCake app on any iOS or Android device. This means you can check your test status on the go wherever you are without needing to log into email or access the StatusCake site in a mobile view! At launch the app covers Uptime, SSL and PageSpeed type tests, and you can view all of the important information for each type at a glance. All you will need to make use of this is your StatusCake username and API key.

Error Monitoring in iOS

In mobile apps, it’s important to monitor errors so you can understand your user’s experience. New: Crash by device breakdown for easier mobile debugging

The Raygun platform is designed to surface as much actionable information about errors so, as a developer, you not only fix them quickly but gain context into what causes errors in the first place. Today we’re announcing a new feature for both Crash Reporting and Real User Monitoring: Crash by device. This new feature helps mobile developers understand which devices cause the most crashes, so replicating errors becomes easier.
