As you learned from the first article in this series, we already receive alerts in Mattermost when the temperature of our fridge is too high. But what if we want to send a request to our fridges to give us the current temperature?

Linear’s new Sentry integration helps developers automate issue tracking and sync issues between both services. Teams can create and assign Linear Issues directly from any Sentry Issue or link Sentry Issues to existing Linear Issues. Linear’s automation will close your Sentry Issue once the Linear Issue has been resolved and update the assignee in Sentry if it changes in Linear.

Atlassian, the maker of Opsgenie (We have an integration for Opsgenie too!), also offers Statuspage. Statuspage is a communication tool that allows users to view the current and recent past status of a website, API, or web application. In addition to a hosted status notification page, Statuspage also sends out messages to users to keep them informed about your site’s availability. Now Uptrends can automatically send updates to Statuspage using the new integration.
